January 29th is the week of DesignCon. The group decided that the January 22nd meeting should be cancelled so the Editorial Task Group can use the time slot if necessary for final work on IBIS 7.0. (see below) - Bob asked that anyone planning on attending the DesignCon IBIS Summit register soon. He asked anyone planning on presenting to submit a proposal to him by Friday, January 18th. ------------- Review of ARs: - Randy to investigate if/why/how a clock waveform input might be used. - In progress. Justin's presentation at the IBIS Summit will touch on this. - Michael M. to investigate if/why/how a clock waveform input might be used. - In progress. - Michael M. to check with IP experts on whether DC_Offset is useful for Tx. - In progress. - Walter and Bob to send out BIRD197.2 draft 1 to the ATM list. - Done. -------------------------- Call for patent disclosure: - None. ------------------------- Review of Meeting Minutes: Arpad asked for any comments or corrections to the minutes of the January 08 meeting. Walter moved to approve the minutes. Bob seconded the motion. There were no objections. ------------- New Discussion: DC_Offset BIRD197.2: After Walter sent out BIRD197.2 draft 1, Randy had replied with a draft that addressed some editorial issues. The group agreed with Randy's changes and proceeded with his draft version as the basis for the following changes. Bob noted that the text in the Required: and Direction: fields should not be italicized. Bob noted that the text in the Required: field should say it is illegal before "7.0" not "7.x". Arpad asked for the Example's Value entry to be changed from .5 to 0.5. Arpad suggested we improve the wording of the sentence: "DC_Offset should be the same as the average of the step response beginning and end voltages." The group agreed on: "DC_Offset should be the same as the average of the step response initial and final voltages." Walter moved to submit the version with these modifications to the Open Forum. Bob seconded. There were no objections. Upcoming meetings: Walter noted that there is no meeting on the 29th because of DesignCon. Walter suggested that we might cancel the ATM meeting on the 22nd as well. This would allow the Editorial task group to use the time slot for last minute work on IBIS 7.0 if necessary. Arpad agreed and noted that he was willing to cancel the meeting on the 22nd if people expected to be busy with DesignCon preparations and IBIS 7.0. Michael M. noted that Editorial was meeting Wednesday and Friday of this week, and might use the ATM timeslot on the 22nd for mop up work if required. Arpad cancelled the ATM meetings on the 22nd and 29th. Walter suggested that we plan to formally introduce IBIS 7.0 and the DesignCon Summit, though it was too late to meet the earlier goal of introducing it in time to be voted on at the Summit. Michael M. said the schedule would likely align nicely with the goal of introducing IBIS 7.0 at the DesignCon Summit. Walter noted that there will be a panel discussion on IBIS AMI modeling at 3:45 on Thursday at DesignCon. Walter, Michael M., Justin, and others will be on the panel. - Walter: Motion to adjourn. - Michael M.: Second. - Arpad: Thank you all for joining. AR: Randy to submit BIRD197.2 to the Open Forum. ------------- Next meeting: 05 February 2019 12:00pm PT ------------- IBIS Interconnect SPICE Wish List: 1) Simulator directives
